I just love photographing brand new babies! They can be so quiet and sleepy. I love the way they curl up into a ball. Imagine being comfortable sleeping with your head on your feet! Only day's before, that's how the baby existed - curled up, SQUISHED up in a ball inside mommy.
I had a little fun with this baby girl. She kept making faces so I'd use the pacifier to reshape her little lips. It was rather comical. Mom & Dad were both great. Usually, I focus more on the daddy/baby poses at the newborn session since it's less common to have dad for the remaining sessions from the 1st year. She was so comfortable in her daddy's arms!
This is the perfect time to mention our new project: "Celebrate Mother & Child". From now until February 2011, we are celebrating expectant and new moms and their babies. Session fees are discounted and gifts abound! I even have some local businesses as support (more on that once it's finalized).
