Adorable and FUN!

What a terrific 9-month appointment we had with this handsome little guy. How proud he was to be standing! I'm sure we'll be in "trouble" for his 1-year appointment in another 3 months. I'll have to be creative in finding ways to keep him still. Ha!

Oh - back to this appointment. He was just a joy. It's funny, how he really wanted nothing to do with his mom and I, but as soon as Grandma arrived, he was all smiles and focused on her. I'll have to ask if Grandma spoils him. Maybe she'll answer me here.

Well, enjoy this sneak peek. The gallery will be online on Monday or Tuesday.

Family of Three

I met this family as a result of an auction donation to the C.O.P.E organization at Our Savior Church. They were the winning bidders and wanted outdoor family portraits. It was a little chilly this morning, but the day was perfect and ideal for a photo session. They selected McNair Park for it's fountain and flowers (although the flowers there are definitely nearing an end for this season).

I thought I put these online last week. Sorry that the gallery made it online before the blog entry did. I was so intent on getting the gallery completed, I overlooked the blog! So, to my faithful blog readers - this is for you since the family has already seen them.

Drop me a note whenever you stop by (seriously!) Click on the Comments button right down there... :)

Super Sweet Little Girl

Welcome to one of our new Baby Plan members! She was such a sweet little 3-month old. Nap-time came quickly for her this day, but that didn't mess our plans! We just kept going and got some wonderful sleeping baby photos. While awake, she was quite the Poser and she even liked the rose blanket! I'm looking forward to her 6-month session. We'll have great fun.

Enjoy this quick sneak peek. The gallery will be online in another couple of days.

Play Ball!

This little guy hit 9 months old and he's already a natural with a baseball bat. (Well sort of). He held it perfectly on his shoulder and would even swing it whenever he wasn't trying to eat the end. Ha, ha! Typical teething baby.

Don't you just love that backside shot?

Enjoy - and catch the rest of them in the gallery later today.

Outdoor Senior

This lovely 2008 grad found me through a referral from a previous Senior. I love getting phone calls when the new client tells me they saw a friend's portrait and want me to do theirs too. Both have been rewarded complimentary 8x10's! Keep "chatting me up" to your friends. I really do appreciate it!

So, on to the session at hand...

We started out at the St. Peter's Park by City Hall. We eventually moved out of there since it was being overrun by wedding parties who also wanted photos. I think we counted 4 separate wedding groups. Our second destination was New Town (we originally wanted the riverfront but there was a festival going on...) Oh well! I love shooting in New Town and we found many great spots. Some are old stand-bys of mine and others were new.

I've got a ways to go before putting this gallery online, so here's a true sneak peek!

Enjoy!

p.s. These are the braces-free versions. I'm not taking them off the rest of the sample gallery photos. Phew!

Friends and Neighbors

I just wanted to share a few from this family session with my neighbors. We had their session at the St. Peter's City Hall Park. It was perfect for them! I've been photographing the little one since she was born and the family for a couple of years now. Every year it's more fun and better and better. I'm absolutely in love with the photos of the little one by the water! Let me know what you think... leave me a note.

St. Charles Riverfront - Senior!

Meet another recent senior. This was definitely a fun session. We started off in the studio -- first the formal violin shots. Then we moved on to the shoes! You should have seen the bag that held them all. I'm told these aren't even all of them. We thought it would be fun to surround her with the things she collects.

Our outdoor poses are all down on the St. Charles riverfront. I loved the blue and green colors on the gazebo (and enhanced them a bit for drama). Enjoy this small segment and look for the full gallery online soon.

I hope it was worth the wait!

Sweet 'lil Sam

I photographed this little one and his older brother earlier this week. He was the happiest little guy! Eventually, he wore down and that signaled the end of our session, but the smiles and expressions that I captured are just priceless.

Here's a sneak peek. The rest will be done later today and put in the client gallery.

Enjoy and to all my faithful blog readers: leave me a comment when you stop by.

Happy little Fella

I had a very enjoyable session with this little guy. He was very happy for most of his photo session. He was quite the little trooper until he got sleepy and then we were able to get some peaceful snoozing poses.

These are his 3-month portraits. Watch for him again at 6, 9 and 12 months! I love watching these babies grow throughout the year. They change so much each 3 months.

His gallery is being loaded right now, if you want to see the full session.

Here are just a few for the Blog readers...

Another Family!

Tis the season of Family Portraiture! We braved the heat and successfully captured these family shots. These were taken at McNair Park, first down by the waterfall and then along the path and finally at the gazebo. I'm looking forward to a High School Senior session there in another week.

So, this isn't exactly a sneak peek since I'm uploading the gallery right now, but I still thought I'd share them on the blog. Thanks for being patient waiting to see these. The holiday weekend and family funeral really limited out my office time.

And on another note, I'm also trying to find some other options for watermarking my photos. The words across the face really didn't work for me. I'll probably go in and change those soon. Anyone want to design something for me? There's only so much one person can accomplish in a week. Well, don't forget to let me know you were here in the comments section! It's for everyone.
