6 Months - her hair's calming down!

Ok, since I'm talking about baby hair today... I thought I'd mention that this little girl's hair is already starting to calm down. Hers was pretty wild and fun a couple of months ago too. :)

I had to work pretty hard to keep her attention. Some babies watch my every move, others really can't be bothered by the lady with the camera. She sure loves giving her attention to Mom and Dad though! I just love her belly!!

3-Month Mini-model with great hair!

Sometimes babies look everywhere else EXCEPT the camera position. This little girl was just the opposite! Even when I wanted to do a profile shot, she was sneaking a peek at me! She was such a little doll. We had a wonderful 3-month session. (Sometimes that age is tough.) Her hair is so cute and wild. I'm glad these portraits will remind the family of the way she looked - the next time I see her, it might be straight and flat. What fun is that? LOL

Third Time's a Charm!

I laughed with the family after this session was over. "Third time's a charm!" Big sister is a Baby Plan graduate and little sister is a current plan member. We've tried 3 times to get big sister AND little sister in a nice pose TOGETHER. The first two times were tough and unsuccessful. Finally, at this appointment, we pulled it off. I'm so thankful this attempt yielded positive results. The next session is a 1-year session and that will be busy enough. :)

Of course, by now all of my blog readers know how much I enjoy the 9-month session. We had such fun. How about those leg-warmers? I couldn't resist suggesting those for photos as soon as I saw her come in wearing them!

3-Month Sweet Girl

We welcome another new member to the Baby Steps Baby Plan. She was so sweet in her Christening gown and knit hat. She's such a little doll-baby and gave me some adorable expressions!

I'm looking forward to watching her grow this year!

Four and Fabulous!

What do you get when you mix an energetic and fun 4-year old and a fun children's photographer? You get a mix of silly, sweet and cute!

We had to send Mom out of the room and then we got to work (I mean play). Really, we had a lot of fun. She was so easy to work with and as soon as I realized that I needed to show her almost every shot, I was able to keep her in place! LOL She was self-improving her poses after looking at them. We sang songs, made silly poses, pretended we were princesses and played peek-a-boo. What could be better than that?

They call him Bubba

My youngest daughter caught on to the nickname Bubba and that's all she uses! Of course she just loves this little guy. It's a good thing these babies all love her back. We had a lot of fun with him during this session. He's 7 months old and really getting happy and confident now that he's sitting up and able to hold onto(and chew) things.

I always crack up when I see smirks and smiles that remind me of the parents or siblings. This little guy has his Daddy's smirk down pat!

Valentine's Wishes from Us!

Happy Valentine's Week!

I thought I'd take a minute to share the valentine cards I made for the kids to give out at school and dance class. They've been handing these out for the past couple of years and I think I've created a tradition. They actually look forward to seeing what I design for them!

Notice that Sarah has glasses now! Some of you haven't seen her yet in 2009. She got them mid-January. All three kids have new glasses. Sarah finally lost two teeth (she was excited to get her name on the 1st grade tooth-chart). Scott HAS teeth in this year's Valentine's photo. He's missing some side teeth, but nothing as dramatic as a year ago. Rachel's growing her hair out to do a Locks-of-Love donation. Sarah donated her hair this past summer.

More 9-month old fun!

Once again, I am able to share another enjoyable 9-month session. I have to be very quick at this age. 9-month-old babies only last about 30 minutes. Still, these whirl-wind moments are fun and it's easy to capture some great images that show happiness and so much personality. I'm not sure if this little guy laughed more or if we adults did! He's definitely a little character (wonder who he gets that from?) Ha ha!! :)

All Smiles

What a fun session we had! I just love 9 month photo sessions. He was so much fun. Of course, this one was no exception! He was all smiles, and he especially enjoyed the props we used. What little boy can resist climbing on a kid-sized chair?
