Very Serious!

Welcome to another new member to the Baby's First Year Baby Plan! It's fun to see the different personalities in babies. This little one was so serious. It took every trick to get him to pay attention to me. He did great and didn't cry much - except when my cold hands touched his skin. (sorry about that!) In all, there were some adorable shots. I'm looking forward to working on the rest of the images this afternoon. :)

Isn't he sweet? I just love his little cheeks!

Until next time,

Love her hair!

Well, this was yet another "easy" 3-month session. I've been blessed with happy babies lately! She was here for her newborn session, so I was able to get a few different poses than is typical for this age. She was very comfortable in the beanbag chair, so we just kept putting her back in it, with different fabric or fluff surrounding her.

I think she's living up to the title on her shirt: "cutie". :)

Thanks for checking in! Type a quick note to let me know you stopped by. I have a whole new crew of babies starting this month and next. Come back often!

Pretty in Pink

Here's a 9-month little cutie. We decided with a beautiful dress like this, she deserved to be surrounded in pink! I just adore her smile. She could really put on a show when her Daddy was playing with her. Big happy laughs are much more fun than the typical 9-month blank stare. LOL

Enjoy some of my favorites from the session:

Oh, and so that I can prove that I'm a full-service photography studio, I'll tell you that I also do minor sewing tasks! Ha, ha! Seriously, I did a quick little sewing job before this session. It's such a beautiful dress, I wasn't going to let anything stand in the way of the photos!

Until next time... your favorite Saint Charles photography and sewing expert, Karen Thaemert, signing out. :)

I love these babies!

Here's another new member of my Baby's First Year Photos Baby Plan. I really enjoy getting to know each and every new family. This family was no exception. The shooting time was enjoyable and the sit-and-chat time was nice as well. (Oh and big brother, it was great to meet you. Thanks for being SO well behaved!)

Of course he had his fussy moments, but a quick feed was all he needed to get back to business. I always love it when the little ones fall asleep. Those are some of my favorite images.

Here's your sneak peek. Look for the gallery in a couple of days.

Thanks for selecting me for your baby's 1st year portraits! Leave me a comment and let me know what you think. :)

What a GEM!

Here's a sneak peek of a new baby plan member. She's just turned 3 months old.

I love it when the 3-month session goes quickly and smoothly. This little girl was pretty much happy during her visit to the studio. Once her belly was full, she was even more content. She even liked the rose blanket. I've had a few babies lately that really disliked being among the silk flowers.

I have a group of new babies starting the baby plan this month and next, so keep checking the blog. There will be a host of new faces.

Enjoy. The full session will be online in the next couple of days.

More Changes!

Last Friday the kids all had their annual eye exams. That brought about a BIG change for two of the kids. Rachel has graduated to contacts and Scott is now sporting his first pair of glasses. He was so excited to get them. He asked me EVERY day if they were ready and couldn't understand why he didn't get them immediately on Friday.

Thursday night of last week, he let Kirk pull that top tooth too. So notice the terrific 1st grade smile! Now, here's a great story for you! Pull up your chairs and get ready to giggle. It's a cute one.

Scott didn't want to put his tooth under his pillow last Thursday night. You see, his bottom teeth had already come in, but only ONE of the baby teeth had come out. The other bottom center one was pretty stubborn and wasn't being pushed out by the new tooth because it was way behind where it should have come in. Scott REALLY wanted to put TWO teeth under his pillow at the same time. He had been told about the "two teeth bonus" that the Tooth Fairy sometimes gave.

So, Thursday night, a week ago, he put his tooth in a baggie and put it in his sock drawer. Friday came and went and he still couldn't wiggle that bottom tooth out. Saturday was busy, but he did work on it some. In the evening we had a babysitter. WELL... Scott with all his charm, convinced the babysitter that he was allowed to stay up late so that he could wiggle his tooth. She gave him a couple of minutes thinking that he'd give up. It didn't take long and he had pulled it on his own.

By the time we arrived home, both teeth were in the baggie and under his pillow, awaiting the Tooth-Fairy Bonus (which was $3.00 rather than just $1.00)

So, enjoy these photos of the NEW Scott! He says he looks like his friend Zach! What do you think Zach? How does Scottie look?

Happy Birthday!

Seems like yesterday I was taking the photos for this little girl's Birth announcements! Today is her 3rd birthday and yesterday they came over for her portrait session.

Can you tell she REALLY likes the color pink? Boy did we ham it up for her. She really thought she was something special surrounded by her favorite color! I also told her she could play in my poofy-twirly skirts. That was a hit!

So, here are some of my favorites as a sneak peek! I'll get the gallery up in the next day or two.

Enjoy!

Sneak Peek - Today's 6 month old!

Oh, doesn't she look like a little doll? What fun we had this morning! She was such a happy girl and didn't complain a bit about posing for pictures. She wasn't quite sitting on her own, so we improvised and will do some of my favorite 6-month poses next time.

Enjoy these for now. I'll have the gallery live in a couple of days! Have a great weekend everyone!
