Brother and Sister

You may recognize this family. I've photographed them many times (especially the little guy - one of my baby plan graduates!) I'm honored to share these special birthday photos with my blog readers. It's fun to watch them grow. I still can't believe how that little newborn boy has grown into a chatter-box toddler. We had so much fun with trucks and cars and being silly. Of course, when taking 5-year old girl portraits, one must remember how "grown up" little girls like to feel. Isn't she sweet?

Take a peek and leave me a note to say you were here!

Website - scheduled down-time

I just received notice that my website (and blog) may go down for a short time on Saturday (1/17/09). My hosting company is doing some sort of energy efficiency power upgrade. Sorry for the late notice.

Have a great weekend.

The Twins Turn ONE!

Ah, what fun this year has been! I must admit that the sessions got increasingly easier as the year progressed. I do hope I'll continue to see these two around town and in the studio too! (My youngest loves it when they come for photos!)

Here's a little sneak peek for you. I just love the way each of them sat so nicely on the stools. They look so proper and "grown up". :)

Sitting Strong

I love this age! 7 Months old is the perfect age for sitting up tall and showing the world how big you've gotten. He really enjoyed a little peek-a-boo and quick teasing. You can see it in his smirks and smiles!

Enjoy this sneak peek. :)

3 Month Old Musician

Ok, I'm quite positive his Daddy doesn't allow him to play (yet), but we did want to use the guitar as a prop. Surprise! :)

We had quite a fun time during this session. He did get worn out near the end and as we laughed at him, his eyes just had to close. He fell asleep in the white chair while I was talking to him. It was the cutest thing!

Enjoy this sneak peek!

Happy Birthday - Another happy Graduate

It's always bitter-sweet when I photograph the 1-year old session of a baby-plan client. It's so fun watching the little ones change during the first year. I'm glad I get to see this little guy in places other than only my studio.
This little guy was energetic and so fun. We kept laughing throughout the entire session (well not at the end when he decided that bubbles were scary), but the first portion of the session was comical. (Good word to describe it huh?) I have to be quick and creative to photograph these little ones "on the move". Somehow creativity won out too, because he eventually decided that baths with bubbles are just as fun as without.

Meet my newest and very handsome little graduate:

Happy 2009

Business New Year's Resolution #1: Keep posting to the Blog!!!

Ok, it took me 5 days of January to get back here, but I made it.

My biggest news of the day is that I finally got the home-page updated on my website. I know some of you are in shock and will miss that July image. Later on this week I'll clean up my client gallery page and maybe even update some of the regular galleries. Take a peek when you get a chance. If you don't see changes, come back a day or two later. I have my entire week planned out and only a couple of sessions with clients.

2008 was a wonderful year. Thank you to my terrific clients and friends. I appreciate you more than I can ever express. In 2008, I had two Baby Plan graduates become the older sibling! I'm so happy to have these two families back in the studio on a regular basis. I know of a couple of other "graduates" who will soon become big sisters and brothers as well. I'm looking forward to those new arrivals.

The Baby Plan and the High School Senior Plans both got a face-lift last year. The new Create-Your-Own packages are a hit! All packages offer a savings over the a la carte prices.

I actually shot a wedding in 2008. It was a wonderful experience and I'm so happy for this couple. I do not plan to focus on weddings at any time in the future, but I did enjoy it.

Plans for the new year include a CONTEST for ages 18 months to 14 years, from now until March 24, 2009. The contest is sponsored by the "Tot's 2 Teen Tour" by Sandy Puc'. Watch for more information on this shortly!

This year will also have a couple of new Limited Edition Sessions and some repeats.

All teens should take note that I am accepting High School Senior Reps for the class of 2010. Interested students should contact me for an interview.

My new displays include more books! Over the next couple of months, you will have quite a range of samples through which to browse. I'm very excited about rolling these off the presses.

So, I guess that's all for today. I'll get the blog announcement for the contest posted soon.

Wishing you a wonderful new year.
