Sweet little girl

I have quite a bit to share with everyone over the next couple of days. I have not gotten all of my "sneak previews" out over the past two weeks. I simply uploaded the new galleries for the families and friends to view. Be on the lookout for a number of new posts to the blog this week. I know some of you regularly read the blog, but don't go to my site on a daily basis.

However, what I have to share tonight is actually a "sneak peek". I am almost done with her collages and slideshow and will upload those tomorrow afternoon.

I remember how difficult it was when I took two of my kids to get their photos taken at a store studio. Rachel actually BIT Scott. He was less than a year old and certainly did nothing to deserve Rachel's bite. Of course, now that he was injured, Scott needed to nurse and while we were easily already 20 minutes into the appointment, we had ZERO good photos. I made the man leave the studio while I quickly fed Baby Scott and then we were finally able to conclude the appointment. I got ONE good picture (and it still hangs in my dining room). I promise everyone who enters my studio that you will never feel rushed or outcast during your session. We will take care of your needs and your child's needs.

This little one tried to challenge us, but mom and I had patience and gave her everything she needed (including a few wipe-ups....I can hear mom now chuckling at the memory!). She came back to the studio for the dressed shots because she simply could not handle any more. It all worked out great and I'm positive there are more than a couple of good shots from the session.

So, here's a couple to share until Wednesday afternoon when the entire gallery is loaded. Isn't she a little doll?

Session with Mom

This is one of my baby plan members. This little guy actually comes in once a month for photos and will get a coffee table-style book after his 1-year birthday. It's so much fun seeing how much a child has changed from one appointment to the next. Often, it's difficult to get a baby to look towards the camera for those posed shots. Well, on this particular occasion, we couldn't get him to look at his mom - He simply preferred to keep a watchful eye on me. Don't you just love his expressions? Here are some where he actually forgot I was around and he's focusing his attention on Mom.

Second Time's a Charm

The old adage "slow and steady wins the race" comes to mind with this session. It took a while (two tries actually) and although this little fella was determined to fuss, we did end up with quite a few cute photos. Mom and Dad and I had to have a lot of patience, and we ended up with some winners. I'm sure he's been a bundle of laughs since he was last in the studio. (Smiles!!)

Did anyone notice that I tired another one out! I love those sleeping portraits.

We wore him out!

May I introduce the boy cousin of the little girl from a couple of posts below. I got him at the point in his day when he was worn out, but when he was happy, he was the most compliant little subject. He sure kept his eyes on me. I'm sure he wasn't trying to be photogenic, I think he was a bit unsure of what I was doing with that black box near my face. Anyway, it made for some good shots. He finally gave in to sleep and personally, those are my favorites. I hope you like them too.

Mother's Day Sessions - Reminder

Just a quick reminder that there are only a couple more days to take advantage of the Mother's Day mini-session special. Since the sessions are short, there are a number of available time slots available.

From now until May 15, 2007 you may come in for a Mini-Session With Mom at a greatly reduced price! Sessions last up to 15 minutes. You will then select your favorite photos from approximately 10-15 images. There are no limits to the number of poses you may select. Mini-sessions cost only $10 and are limited to portraits of Mom (or other special lady) and 3 children or grandchildren. Each additional child is $5. Add a "Mini-Session with Mom" to any other full session for free! Dads - you'll get a turn starting mid-May!

Thank the special women in your lives!

The first of two!

I had the pleasure of photographing this little girl along with her cousin. Both sisters (the moms) had their babies only days apart. His photos will be next in my gallery.

This isn't exactly a sneak peek, since this gallery is already ready for viewing, but I wanted to share with those of you who don't frequent my client gallery page. I'm so thankful for considerate clients. I've been very slow getting all the sessions done and ready for viewing. I've never really caught up from the week after April when I took a week's vacation. That'll teach me -huh?

Oh, I also wanted to point out my new brown background. Isn't it beautiful with mom's brown hair and black top? I'm especially fond of the Sepia toned photo below. The tones are so rich and soft. Aren't they adorable?

Well, a nice soft bed awaits me. Till tomorrow (when I finally upload the May newsletter). Thanks for stopping by! Leave a comment to let me know you were here. (hint, hint!) If you don't want to create an account, you can always use the Anonymous selection and then sign it after your comment (ie. Lisa K.) or something like it.

I bet you want to see photos.... here they are. A little doll:

A Little Man

I have such a handsome little guy to share with you today. I've been working diligently on his photos tonight and almost forgot to share some on the blog. He was so good natured and although the lights kept flashing all around him, he was pretty much willing to "sit" for photos. I wonder what Dad is telling him in the photo below! It must be some secret! LOL Isn't he adorable?
