6 Month Girl

This is the last of my postings today. I wanted to get these out before Easter!

I love photographing this little girl. She's so animated. This time she pretty much hollered at us the entire time. She wasn't mad, just loud. Still, she was so cute the whole time.

I was able to get some shots with her teeth showing. Mom wanted to make sure baby's chubby rolls were visible too. :)

Dad, if you are looking at this, thanks for serving our country! I hope you enjoy this sneak peek. Your girls are beautiful!!! Happy Easter to you!

Thanks to everyone for selecting me to be your photographer. I love the friendships and I love your little people. They are all so sweet. I wish you all a blessed Easter. Spend the day tomorrow celebrating our risen Christ!

Blessings,

Karen Thaemert

Cousins!

Here's a little change of pace. These are 4 cousins in the studio for Grandma. Grandma was an auction winner at the Lutheran High School silent auction. I'm thrilled that the school benefited so much from the many donations.

I've actually photographed two of these children before. If you've seen my 2007 Studio Babies book the little girl is in the yellow bucket on the cover of the book as well as inside it. She's changed quite a bit since that one-year-old photo session. I actually have both children's portraits above my desk. They were so sweet for me (Mom and Dad would be proud of them).

The other two boys were new to the studio and were terrific too. They all did well, especially considering the toys on the other side of the wall were so enticing!

I just HAD to share the silly pose for the kids. I needed them to loosen up a little and all four of them thought it was funny to take a goofy-face photo. Parents, make sure you show them their silly faces. I'm sure they'll enjoy it.

Here they are:

Almost 7 months

This was my first time meeting this little guy. He definitely enjoyed sitting in my bowls, boxes and baskets. Parents frequently tell me during the 6th month session that they should go out and buy some boxes and baskets and put baby in them at home! I remember letting my own kids play in laundry baskets. I'm not sure why they like it so much.

I hope this family keeps coming back for the rest of this milestone year! I just love seeing how these babies grow.

Meet baby number two for today!

That belly button sticking out makes me want to poke it and try to get a giggle out of him! :)

Thanks for a fun session!

Brand New Boy!

It seems the new baby boys are out numbering the newborn girls lately. They've all been so cooperative that I've really had a wonderful time at these newborn sessions.

This beautiful baby's parents were referred to me by one of my other newborns from a couple of weeks ago. I'm so thankful for happy clients. You're all such a blessing. I'm honored to be the one to capture this coming year's milestones.

Well, I have a bunch of posts to do today (so that I can start cleaning my house for tomorrow). I won't be too chatty.

Time for you to meet the most recent newborn to K Thaemert Studio!!

What do you think about that "praying" shot? I just LOVE it!

Happy Birthday!!

It's been so much fun these past couple of weeks. I've had quite a few baby plan members turning ONE year old! We have so much fun at the birthday session. First are the traditional or formal poses. Babies can usually do without this part, but the parents and grandparents can't!

After the traditional poses, we get out the cake and let the baby go at it. This little guy wasn't much into making a mess. He actually left quite a bit to share with big brother and Mom and Dad once they got home.

To clean up the messy face and hands (and tummy and toes...) I get out the bucket and put some warm water in the bottom. That's a lot of fun too. Finally, IF (and I do mean "if") the baby is willing, I take a few shots wrapped in a colorful towel.

Well, enjoy this sneak peek. I've really enjoyed watching him grow this past year!

True Cardinal Fan!

He's 6 months old and excited that it's almost opening day!

Doesn't he have the sweetest smile? We really had to coax it out of him. Sometimes babies this age are really serious (which he was part of the time). We played around and found what got him laughing (Daddy!)

The finger in the mouth photo is so funny-cute. I had to select that one to share. It makes his cheeks look even cuter.

Enjoy this little sneak peek. I have quite a few more sessions to share (and I'm shooting two more tomorrow to add to the list!) Come back soon and see some more adorable babies and kids.

Beautiful and 9 Months old

I want to share a very sweet little 9-month old girl. She was such fun at this session. She wasn't sitting on her own at her last session so I took this opportunity to do some of my favorite poses that we missed. Look at her on my bench; she's so sitting so proudly (and she didn't even try to escape!)

I just love how clear and blue her eyes are. I'm sure her Daddy melts each time he looks into them. Watch out in a few years! :)

Here you go...

Birthday Time

Hello everyone! Here's a sneak peek of a birthday session from late last week. We had such a FUN session. He was pretty active and I pulled out all my tricks to keep him busy for the first part of the session. I think we got some great images. Then, for the cake and water portion, it was no problem keeping him in place (of course).

I love his facial expressions. These are just a few that jumped out at me so I worked on them first for the blog posting.

Enjoy and happy birthday little guy!

Happy and 6 Months Old

I have to admit, the 6-month session is a favorite of mine. I just love watching as babies proudly sit and pose. The parents and I usually laugh the entire session (either at baby or with baby!) This session was no exception! We had such a terrific time.

I am so blessed in my job. It's so fun watching these little ones grow and change. Thanks for selecting me as your photographer!

Enjoy today's sneak peek. (The gallery should be online soon.)
