She finished happy

This little princess came for her appointment and got very tired and cranky before we were able to get any clothing shots. She ended up coming in the next day (I just left the studio set up) and was completely happy. It only took a couple of minutes to get a bunch of good shots. Here are just a couple... her gallery should be up and running by Thursday night:

So, so happy!

Well, I'm cruising right along. I know I have a number of clients patiently waiting to see their proofs. Taking a vacation last week really messed up my proofing time. So, my wonderful hubby took the kids out last night to visit the grandparents and gave me some alone time to work. Today I'm working on this little man's session. He was the happiest baby - really! I had such a good time with him. Mom and dad were terrific to work with too. He's 3 months old (almost 4) and was so aware of his surroundings. He really responded to dad! So, here's his sneak peek. His gallery should be online by Friday. :)

Michael - Congratulations Graduate!

I'm still sneaking in a few more 2007 graduates! These were taken just before Missouri's weather took a turn for the worst (and cold and rain). I really enjoyed this session. Michael was a GREAT subject, the locations he selected were full of character and my assistant was my dad! He even let me use some of his equipment (and now I feel the need to purchase a new lens!)

Let's see, the session was not without some drama! The first location was an old, old, old, old church. There was no drive off the road, so we had to go across the grass. Well, I was driving the truck (uggh - can you believe it!) and the ground was very soft and wet. I pretty much got the truck stuck in a little valley. I was worried I'd have to call Kirk and his Dad to come pull us out - but I was worried they'd get stuck too. Eventually with my expert driving (ha! and a lot of silent praying), I got turned around and we were on to the next location with a real parking lot!

So, here's the sneak peek:

Smiles and Smirks

Well, having spring break and a camping trip last week has put me a little behind on client portrait proofing. I'm finally getting to this cute sibling duo from early April. She's a fun 6 months old and sitting nicely and her big brother is five. They have already formed a definite brother-sister relationship. She leans on him and he either picks on her or shows her a protective big brother love. What do you think he's thinking when she's sitting on him? Look at his eyes in the last photo! Ha! Thanks for a fun session! Your photos will be ready for viewing soon.

Four Months Old

It's so much fun watching the little ones grow as they continue to come in for photos. This little man is four months old. He's definitely getting more and more active and amazingly strong too. We even got a couple of photos with him standing next to the white wicker chair!

The fence is my newest prop. My favorite handyman (Kirk)made it for me. I told him I wanted him to keep going and make more so I could have some outside. The answer was "no". Oh well. Didn't he do a terrific job?

It'll be a few more days before I have the completed gallery online, so until then, here's a quick peek at a couple that stood out at me on my first glance of the session.:

Adorable and look at his hair!

Here's a sneak peek! This was my first time meeting this little guy. He's three months old and had a terrific personality. He smiled and cooed and wiggled like crazy. I'm so glad to have this family on the new baby plan so I can watch him grow and change over the next year.

Oh, and not only is his hair adorable, but look at those long lashes! They're long enough to make any girl a bit jealous!

Which one should we use for the Hot Tots, Cool Kids contest? I'm soliciting opinions - even though I'll use the one his parents/grandparents like best.

Well, here he is:

P.S. My April newsletter is almost ready to publish. Make sure you're signed up!
