Snow DAY!!!!

Thursday night brought in the first snowstorm of the season. The kids enjoyed a wonderful Friday in the fresh-white outdoors.

Before I share my photos, I have to share a "funny"... On Thursday night, Rachel added to her portion of family prayers, "Please let it keep snowing so we can have a snow day." Scott quickly added his portion, "No, please let the snow stop so I can go to school and learn a lot."

Oh my goodness, that's so adorable. You can tell he's in kindergarten and loves it.

Anyway, the kids had a wonderful time. Sarah's one goal was to make snow-angels. They all wanted to shovel the snow from the driveway, but once they realized that below the thin layer of snow was about 4-inches of ice they decided that sledding would be more fun!

When they returned indoors, they were treated to hot chocolate and a blazing fire in the wood stove. It can't get any better than that for a kid!

So, here's my photo share!
